Making the list of CRAIN’S 5 Boro Michelin Guide to Best Chefs
No single chef can take credit for the success of this eight year-old, 35-seat eatery, which employs 10 “nonnasâ€â€”Italian grandmothers—who all take turns in the kitchen, making the authentic recipes they grew up with.
Awarded a Bib Gourmand mention in the 2015 NYC Michelin Guide, the menu includes homemade pastas and risottos along with the daily specials prepared by the chef of the day.
Not to be missed is the Capuzzelle, half of a sheep’s head stuffed with breadcrumbs, rosemary and garlic then baked in white wine, according to owner Jody Scaravella.
